Säker / Hitta

A collaboration between IKEA, Tom Dixon and 72 students from 3 different schools, including the Royal College of Art.

Delaktig is an aluminum frame designed by Tom Dixon and released by Ikea, to enhance the values of open design.

As students we have been asked to hack the structure and expand its usage.

I developed Säker, a cover tent, and Hitta, a QI technology torch. Inspired by the new urbanism which sees houses becoming smaller and smaller and more crowded, my goal was to create a flexible solution to create a personal space to relax or work in. In this scenario, the torch wants to create a camping experience, giving the chance to explore the space inside the tent and the outside as well.

The prototypes were exposed during the Fuorisalone 2017 in Milan.
